TO COMBAT ABUSE (MENTAL AND PHYSICAL)
Purple Candle
Vegetable Oil
Rue
Clove
Cinnamon
Bay Leaf
Basil
3 inches of red ribbon or yarn
3 inches of white ribbon or yarn
3 inches of black ribbon or yarn
Cloth Pouch
Inscribe the candle with the petitioner's name and birth date, then anoint it with vegetable oil. Roll the candle in a mixture of powdered rue, clove, cinnamon, bay leaf, and basil, while chanting:
Herbs mix and mingle well,
Add your power to this spell.
Put the candle in the holder and place it on the altar. Gather the ribbons together and tie a knot at one end. Braid them together while chanting:
Maiden, Mother, Crone~All Three,
From all abuse (name of petitioner) is now free.
Tie a knot in the loose ends so the braid doesn't unravel, then tie both ends together to form a ring. Place it around the candle to form a circle. Sprinkle the remaining herbs around the braid, and visualize the circle growing stronger and stronger until it forms an impassable wall of protection. Then light the candle and say:
From hurts and bruises (name of petitioner) is free,
As I will, so mote it be.
After the candle burns all the way down, gather the braid, herbs, and candle drippings, if any, into a cloth pouch. Give them to the petitioner to keep on her or his person as a protective measure.
SPELL TO BRING RAIN
A broom and a small outdoor space are the only tools necessary for this spell, although a sky scattered with a few clouds is a definite plus. Go outide, look into the sky and invoke Oya (my African Wind Goddess) by chanting:
Oya, Mighty One of Wind. I call upon You. Your Breath, lend. To blow these clouds at once together And bring conditions for rainy weather!
Turn your broom bristles up and "sweep" the air from West to East while willing the clouds to join together. Then invoke Thor by chanting:
Mighty Thor of strength and light, Your mighty fires I now invite. Bring Your lightning to the sky-- The time for rainfall is now nigh.
Repeat the sweeping motion, only this time sweep from West to South, Invoke Zeus by chanting:
Oh Greatest Zeus of rumbling thunder, Lend Your voice of awesome wonder. Shout it out across the skies, "Rainy weather, now arise!"
Repeat the sweeping motion, moving the broom from West to North. Finally invoke Melusine; chant:
I call upon you, Melusine, Watery Goddess, Fish-like Queen, Toss your waters in the air And fill the clouds that float up there.
This time, start at the West and rapidly sweep the air above your head deosil. Say:
Raindrops fall and raindrops flow Cleanse the land so dry below. Rain until you've quenched the thirst And soothed the skin of Mother Earth!
SPELL FOR GETTING A RAISE
Ingredients:
Green Candle (7 day)
Pen
Bayberry, Bergamont or Pine Oil
Recent Pay Stub
Gather the spell materials together on the first night of the New Moon. Write your boss's name on the candle and below it, draw an arrow pointing down. Draw a dollar sign beneath the arrow. Below that, draw another arrow pointing down, then write your name under it.
Anoint the candle, while concentrating on your need for a raise. Write the amount of the raise you need below the net amount shown on the check stub and add the two together. Place this under the candle. Light the candle and visualize your boss approving a raise for you.
Chant:
"From you to me the money flows
Casting out financial woes.
The raise I need shall be approved
Before the light of next Full Moon."
Let the candle burn down completely. Wrap the wick and any wax remnants in a dollar bill and carry it with you. Ask for the raise on the Wednesday before the Full Moon.
FOR AN IMPROVED STATE OF HEALTH
Fold in a scrap of velvet cloth
These treasures six to bring you health.
Leaves of tea, flowers of lavendar,
Ginger and salt and clove and camphor.
Tie up the charm with a scarlet thread,
Keep it beside your nightly bed.
Breathe it on waking every day-
You must be healed, and healed must stay.
A HOLLYHOCK SPELL FOR RICHES
The Hollyhock blooms in summer,
Its seeds in Autumn fall;
Then, in folded paper,
Save them, gather them all-
The loose seeds,
The dry seeds,
The rounds seeds,
The seeds like tarnished pennies
That pay for the blossoms tall;
Bury their rusty treasure
Next to a Southern wall-
With a mint coin,
An ancient coin,
A silver coin,
A copper coin:
By Spring your wealth shall measure
Twelve times this sowing small.
MONEY SPELL
Sit crossed legged on the floor. Burn incense throughout the spell. Take a piece of silver (half dollar) and wrap it in a piece of orange paper. Orange is the color of attraction. Set it before you on the floor. Stand two green candles, one on each side of the money, and light them. Burn High John incense. Concentrate on the wrapped silver and see in your mind's eye the silver multiplying. See it piling up, one coin on top of another. After a few minutes of this concentration, say the follwing:
When the grey owlet has three times hoo'd,
When the grinning cat has three times mewed,
When the toad has croaked three times in the wood,
At the red of the moon may this money be good.
Sit for a few minutes and concentrate further on the silver multiplying. Repeat the incantation again and then a third time. Snuff out the candles, first the left, then the right. Repeat this spell every Wednesday for three weeks.
TO REPEL NEGATIVITY
All these must be done, of course, with visualization of blue-white protective light repelling the negativity.
Take a bath in water with sea salt....visualize the negativity going down the drain.
Take a rock (preferably black), clench it in your fist, squeeze it tightly, and visualize all the negativity going into the rock.....then throw it as hard and far away as possible! (Don't hit anything with it!).
Put your palms on a tree (or the ground); visualize the negativity going down into the roots, and into the Earth, fading away. You should leave a silver coin (dime) in the Earth as a Thank You gift.
Take a mirror (that you won't use for anything else), wash in sea salt water. Leave it outside during the night of the Full Moon (to charge it). Then, put it facing the direction you think the negativity is coming from.
**IMPORTANT: NEVER look into the mirror! If it seems psychically "dirty", cleanse as above.
The "Shield Up" Spell
This is a spell you wear, like magic armor. What you're doing is putting a protective shield on yourself. You can also put it on your house, any car or plane or boat you're riding in, your bike or rollerblades, your family and your pets. Don't forget your pets!
Find a quiet spot and go into Magic Mode. See Yourself sitting there quietly. Now imagine yourself wrapped in a glowing shield of light. I usually see my shields as kind of a crystal egg, only flexible. It moves with you: If you put out your hand, it stretches to fit. It won't break and it won't bind you. When you've got a clear picture of yourself in the shield, say:
"This shield protects me from everything that could harmful or bad for me. It turns bad energy into good energy that I can use, This spell is done with harm to none."
It's that simple, and it works. I renew my shield once a year, on my birthday, or whenever I'm going into a dangerous situation, and feel like I want extra protection. Like when I'm getting on a plane or I have to go into a house that people say is haunted. My shield keeps me from being afraid, because I know it's working.
THE SPELL OF THE FOUR ACES
Select your ritual space and set up your altar. Clear and release as you always do.
Cleanse the space and cast the circle.
When you have erected the Magic Circle and called the Quarters, you will want to invoke Deity.
An invocation is a prayer for the presence and aid of Deity-either Universal or personal Deity. An invocation can be addressed to Universal Deity, to the Goddess and/or God, or to a particular Goddess or God, all are ultimately manifestations of the same Universal Power.
To make an invocation, speak to Deity from your heart, and with love. You should always address Deity with respect, but the particular words you use are so not important as the sincerity behind them. This invocation is directed toward Universal Deity:
"Holy Mother, Father God, Creator and Sustainer of all things, be with me now and aid me in this my undertaking. Give me Your blessing and Your guidance, I pray You, with love and gratitude for Your aid!"
Take up the Ace of Swords. Face the East, and see again the column of white light you called up when you invoked the Guardian of the East.
Now raise the Ace of Swords, holding it out so it faces the East. Imagine the card surrounded by a ball of white light. Address the Guardian of the East with words like these:
"Guardian of the East, empower this card as your representative, so that it may be a lasting bond between us. May this card keep the power of Air and the sacred Athame always with me! May I always have mental strength, good ideas and clear communications in this home!"
Now replace the card upon the altar.
Take up the Ace of Wands, and face the South. Again see the column of light you drew up when you invoked the Quarter.
Raise the Ace of Wands, holding it so that it faces South. Imagine the card surrounded by a ball of white light. Address the Guardian of the South with words to the effect of:
"Guardian of the South, empower this card as your representative, so that it may be a lasting bond between us. May this card keep the power of Fire and the sacred Wand always with me! May I always have strength, vitality, and creativity, in this home!"
Return the card to the altar.
Now take up the Ace of Cups, and turn to the West. See again the column of light you called up when you invoked the Quarter.
Pick up the Ace of Cups, holding it so that it faces West. Imagine the card surrounded by a ball of white light. Address the Guardian of the West with words to the effect of:
"Guardian of the West, empower this card as your representative, so that it may be a lasting bond between us. May this card keep the power of Water and the sacred Chalice always with me! May I always have love, compassion, and nurturing in this home!"
Replace the card upon the altar.
Take up now the Ace of Pentacles. Turn to the North. See the column of light you brought up when you invoked the Quarter.
Hold up the Ace of Pentacles, holding it facing North. Imagine the card surrounded by a ball of white light. Address the Guardian of the North with words to the effect of:
"Guardian of the North, empower this card as your representative, so that it may be a lasting bond between us. May this card keep the power of Earth and the sacred Pentagram always with me! May I always have wealth, prosperity, and wisdom in this home!"
Return the card to the altar.
Say to yourself: "Behold, I am One with the Powers of the Universe!"....and imagine a bright light shine out from your Solar Plexus, like a Sun within you.
Place your hands over the four Aces and imagine a bright white light coming from your hands and surrounding the cards. Charge them with words like these:
"By the powers of Air and Fire, by the powers of Water and Earth, and by the power of Spirit, within me, may these cards be blessed, and may they guard and bless this house! By my will, so mote it be and it is so."
Now you will give thanks and dismiss, beginning with Deity:
"Holy Mother, Father God, Universal force of Life Which suffuses and supports all things, I thank You for Your presence and Your Aid! I offer You my love, and bid You hail, and farewell!"
Now close the Magic Circle.
When you have closed the circle, before you cleanse and release your excess energy, take the four Aces from the altar.
Go to the Eastern-most wall in your home, and place the Ace of Swords there, hang it with a thumb tack or bit of tape, or affix it in any other manner that may seem right to you. Again imagine the card surrounded with white light and say:
"May the blessing be!"
Now go to the Southernmost wall of your house and affix the Ace of Wands there. See the Ace of Wands surrounded by white light, and say:
"May the blessing be!"
Go now to the Westernmost wall in the house, and affix the Ace of Cups there. Visualize the card surrounded by white light and say:
"May the blessing be!"
Finally, go to the Northernmost wall of your home, and there affix the Ace of Pentacles. See the card surrounded by white light, and say:
"May the blessing be!"
The spell is now complete. Clear and release all excess energy.
HEALING BLESSINGS
I have somewhat re-worded a healing spell to fit my needs. It works beautifully for my husbands severe Neuropathy pains in his feet, legs and hands. He asks me for it every morning and every night. Here are the AM and PM versions ~Aerianne

SPELL TO CLEAR DAILY STRESSES

My ritual does wonders to calm me after the stresses of the day...
You will need:
A small bowl or chalice of spring water
(or purified water)
Essential oil of a floral scent
(I prefer honeysuckle)
Incense of a flora scent
(the same as the oil scent, if possible)
One candle
A tape or CD with your favorite sounds
( I prefer the sounds of the shore).
In a dark room, light the candle (to ease the sense of sight) light the incense with the fire of the candle (passing the positive energy) to ease the sense of smell...
Turn on your sounds (easing the sense of sound) or, if you prefer you may have total silence or shut out your environment.
Sit in front of the candle with your eyes closed, breathe in your nose and absorb the positive energy of the incense - exhaling the negative energies through your mouth until your breathing becomes relaxed.
Feel the energy enter your nostrils and spread into your head, down into your lungs through your heart, body and extremeties. Your body will seem to get warm and glow (this eases the sense of touch).
After you have relaxed your body, Chant several times everytime you exhale: Thank You, Goddess - Thank You, Goddess! (eases the sense of the spirit).
After you have finished chanting, hold the chalice to The Goddess so She may drink, then sip the cool water, tasting its goodness (easing the sense of taste). After your drink, sit back and relax - and smile!.... So Mote It Be.
SPELL TO KEEP ONE QUIET
Some of you know I am a Gypsy Witch. Some of my spells differ a little. I believe that a spell will work as long as you truly whole heartedly believe in it, and make it a little personal and "of you". Alter to fit your beliefs please, but since this was requested of me, I decided to share with all.
Things Needed:
Rag cloth to wrap finished poppet in,
Needle,
Thread,
John the Conquerer root,
Bay leaves,
Dragon Blood
Poppet with something personal of hers/his on it. I don't care what of hers/his personal, just something personal. If you don't have a poppet, make one from old washcloth, some cotton, a rubber band, and a marker. (Hey! I AM inventive).
All you need really is the something personal on it and a head anyway for this one. Make a head and put a dot for each eye, a dot for nose and a little smiley face for we do want to promote happiness. :-)
Consecrate doll as (Their Name) and attach their personal item in some fashion.
Start at the right corner of the mouth and sew up and down like sewing lips shut and say this:
"The mouth I bind this very day
binds fast the evil mouths can say,
nevermore causing distress and alarm,
nevermore able to cause anyone harm,
the fire of truth and sincerity burns
(Their NAME) faith in this charm
will never turn,
as hers/his faith is steadfast and true.
A blessing comes this way today,
an influence of Mars all will say,
to overthrow the enemies that be
who seek to harm through gossip see;
truth and justice enters here,
a quality many hold so dear,
to counteract the many lies
in the minds were slander gossip resides."
Tie knot and start wrapping in cloth with John the Conquerer root, bay leaves, dragon blood. Continue to say:
"Vanishing foes you will see,
John the Conquerer is with thee.
Bay and blood
help shut the mouths evil words shoot,
no longer gossip can harm thee,
beginning this day you will see.
Once you finished, bury them in the yard and forget about it. You are done.
Now if you are like me and like a shorter rhyme. (Hey...I want something I can remember easy and repeat over and over so I can concentrate more on energies and less on rhyme) then this is similar to the one I use.
"No negative words can escape thee
and direct them towards my loves and me,
for if you turn negative my way
loss of voice is price you pay>"
Do not put any negative, just a fancy reversal with consequence named. Leaves the burden on them. They speak the negative, they loose their voice. My loves means anyone I care about. I hope this helps the person who requested as well as anyone else who might need it.

AERIANNE'S JUSTICE SPELL FOR CHILD SUPPORT
Part One:
This part of the spell can be cast at any time: before a proceeding begins, or while it is underway.
Gather:
A tall blue candle (for understanding)
Frankincense (it usually comes in a blend with myrrh, which is fine; cedar or sandalwood could be substituted)
Sea salt
A bowl of water
A tray or other surface on which to work the spell.
OPTIONAL: A scale, the old-fashioned kind with two balances; this is a symbol of justice that could be placed on the altar while you are working the spell.
Arrange the altar or work surface in your usual way, then add everything you will need for this spell. Place anything you have that relates to the situation on the altar: photographs, legal documents, etc.
Call quarters and cast a circle.
Light the incense and the candle.
Say these words:
"When a child a father seeds
He must provide for half its needs.
He mustn't turn his back in greed,
For walking away he is not freed.
Justice of the Universe,
I call him now to reimburse,
To pay his share of what we've spent
Since the day he turned and went.
And every month to send support
So fatherhood he can't abort
Until his children come of age
And complete their childhood stage.
If he chooses, free him then
And childless days let him spend."
Pour the sea salt into the tray as you say:
"I call down Justice.
Let it rain Justice.
Let it rain Justice on my children.
Let it rain Justice for payment of Child Support."
Repeat this as many times as feels necessary to you. Close your eyes, open your palms and pray to the Goddess. Acknowledge her right to effect justice as she sees fit.
Close the circle.
Each day, for several days, burn the candle and more incense. Mix the ash from the incense into the salt.
Part Two: The next part should be done at a significant point, such as the start of mediation or before the trial.
Stand before the altar and recite these words over the powder:
"Hail, Lady!
A Witch calls out to thee
She cries for justice
She requires victory
Hail, Lady!
I ask for your justice
I call you to this situation
To ask for your justice
By your power I transform this into a powder of Justice. By your power this powder is transformed Make this a situation where right is known from wrong A situation where Truth is known from lies. With Your power I enchant this powder By the power of the Goddess I command Justice be done."
Place the powder in a pouch and pray again to The Goddess. Thank her for considering the situation, and for her intercession.
Carry the pouch with you until justice is achieved.
Change of Luck Spell
To change your luck, if you feel you must, turn your clothing inside out or backward. This is an old gambler’s trick to change a losing streak, but it will also work if you are just having a bad day, as so many of us do on occasion. If, on the other hand, you find you already have a piece of clothing on inside out or backward, don’t change it unless things are going badly for you. A less obvious alternative, if it is too conspicuous to reverse your clothing, would be to take the contents of your right pocket and put them in your left pocket, and put the contents of your left pocket in your right pocket. Or, if you wear earrings, put your left earring in your right ear, and your right earring in your left ear. And so on and so forth; the possibilities are nearly endless.
KITCHEN PROTECTION SPELL
Place 3 needles, 3 pins, and 3 nails into a small glass bottle. Add a clove of peeled garlic (or if the bottle is very small, a spoonful of crushed or powdered garlic) and a pinch of dried thyme. Then fill the bottle with sea salt, shake vigorously 9 times, and seal the cap with red wax. Place the bottle in a cupboard where it won't be seen, and it will protect your kitchen from food poisoning and other culinary disasters.
